Reports to: Nutrition Program Administrator | Full Time pay range $22.50-$23.00 per hour.

Summary:
Working under the direct supervision of the Nutrition Program Administrator, the Nutrition Administrative Manager will be responsible for supervising, managing, overseeing, and evaluating all aspects of the Nutrition program’s administrative operations. The Administrative Manager is responsible for assisting in the development and ensuring the implementation of policies and procedures established for the successful operation of the program.

Essential Job Functions and Expectations:
• Provides oversight and supervision of program’s administrative staff in the development, refinement and operations of SourcePoint’s Nutrition Program administrative functions.
• Responsible for recruiting, screening, interviewing, orienting, training new staff
• Responsible for scheduling, evaluating, disciplining, supervising all subordinates, including maintaining time records, examining and spot-checking work, and making recommendations for termination, as needed
• Conduct staff meetings, training sessions and development opportunities appropriate for staff needs and program compliance with funding sources
• Assist in the development of proposed program objectives and goals and is responsible for their successful achievement
• Develop and maintain an organized record keeping system of client, volunteer and other operations data
• Responsible for addressing identified issues which affect the quality of services through the development, implementation, refinement and maintenance of funding rules, applicable laws, department practice standards and policies
• Establish and maintain a collaborative relationship with the Food Service Manager
• Assist the Nutrition Program Administrator with articles and presentations to highlight the Nutrition program
• Assist the Nutrition Program Administrator in reporting to the Director of Community Programs
• Assume primary responsibility for the development and management of the departmental budget
• Investigate and report any accidents, incidents and injuries involving SourcePoint volunteers, staff or clients immediately to the Nutrition Program Administrator
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of customer eligibility for all funding sources, service availability, and all program requirements
• Prepare, distribute, and tabulate annual Meals on Wheels client survey
• Develop and nurture relationships with area partners to sustain and grow assigned programs
• Attend and participate in all staff meetings, training sessions, and in-service education programs, as required
• Adhere to all applicable Nutrition Program policies and procedures
• Work closely with the Nutrition Program Administrator to prepare for internal and external audits, as well as identify funding opportunities to support assigned programs and assist in preparation of required reports and applications
• Maintain a thorough understanding of all the programs and services provided and supported by SourcePoint, both within the organization and through our many community partners, and an understanding of and commitment to the pursuit of excellence in customer service

Qualifications:
• Minimum of Associates degree in Nutrition or related field, required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience in food service or nutritional program management may be considered
• Minimum of three years supervisory, program management and employee or volunteer training experience
• Minimum of two years’ experience working with volunteers; preference given to experience in supervising volunteers
• Previous experience in planning programs, activities, and or engagement opportunities preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency in a wide range of software programs including Outlook, Excel, Word and other nutrition specific programs
• Possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate effective oral, written and electronic communications methods with a culturally diverse group of employees and volunteers in an articulate and professional manner.
• Ability to achieve multiple critical outcomes and deadlines which meet or exceed established expectations, with minimal oversight
• Ability to be creative and to deal with ambiguity and change on a routine basis.
• Ability to promote a positive work culture within the organization; and project a positive image of the organization in the community and to routinely interact with the general public
• Must be willing to submit to and pass criminal background checks per agency policy

Essential Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
• Ability to lift 30 lbs. on a regular basis without assistance and navigate un-level terrain and stairs
• Ability to drive to and from off-site cafes, meeting, events, etc. on a regular basis and have access to a reliable automobile; and must maintain automobile insurance in an amount established by SourcePoint
• Ability to work with individuals in diverse living situations and conditions, including ability to work in environments where is potential for exposure to animals, second-hand smoke, unpleasant odors, etc.
