Wednesdays, Nov 6, 13, & 20, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
3 SESSIONS – Work on your drawing skills with award-winning artist, Emily Rose Hirtle. You can work from life or photo references. Emily will share demos on how to use line and tone. There will be group critiques and individual critiques for those who wish to participate. Emily will share weekly lectures and PowerPoint presentations on contemporary and historical artists who approached drawing with line and tone in their works. You will need to bring supplies to class. Emily attended the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and The New York Academy of Art where she received her MFA. Her work is in numerous collections including Brooke Shields and Aidan Turner. Register by Friday, Nov. 1. As this is over the lunch hour, you may bring food and drink to class. Class fee $80.
Please bring to class:
- a variety of pencils such as HB or soft
- soft vine charcoal
- a hard white eraser
- a kneaded eraser
- one pad of Strathmore 500 Series Charcoal 9×12 inches–24 sheets pad
- a drawing board if you have one
