POSITION DESCRIPTION

Caregiver Relief Companions provide a friendly visit with a homebound senior in order to give the senior’s caregiver a short break. No personal care or meal prep, just a social visit.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to drive to the client’s home and manage possible stairs. Must indicate animal allergies or issues.

TRAINING

SourcePoint Volunteer Orientation, Caregiver Relief training, and annual round-table discussion.

TIME COMMITMENT

6-18 hours per month.

LOCATION

Client’s home in Delaware County. Volunteers and families are matched and the volunteer visits with the same senior on a regular basis.

DRESS CODE

Casual. SourcePoint t-shirt and volunteer badge recommended.

SUPPORT

The Caregiver Program Coordinator supports the Caregiver Relief Volunteers.
