History From a Unique Perspective

Join special guest Krista Schnabel from Wisconsin as she shares her early story as a “daughter of an American mother and a German father living in Sudetenland—a territory that Hitler stole from Czechoslovakia in 1938.

Historians have written much about WWII, its soldiers, and particularly about its disastrous effects on the Jewish communities of Europe.

Krista shares glimpses of her early life in a German/Czech village under the shadow of war, interwoven with immigration stories from family members who traveled between Germany and the U.S. over three generations. Krista will share stories from her memoir, “Anything for Frances.” She will save a few minutes for Q&A from those attending. Don’t miss this unique historical presentation!
