Delaware County, Ohio—SourcePoint announced today that Chief Executive Officer Fara Waugh will retire in 2027, concluding more than 30 years of service to the Delaware County nonprofit.
Waugh joined the organization in 1995 and helped create and develop many of the programs and services SourcePoint provides today. Over the course of her career, she has overseen areas including in-home care, nutrition services, caregiver support, insurance education, service coordination, quality improvement, and partnerships with government, nonprofit, and private-sector organizations. She was appointed chief executive officer by SourcePoint’s board of directors in 2019.
“Fara’s impact on SourcePoint and on older adults throughout Delaware County is difficult to overstate,” said Pamela Foster, board president. “Over more than three decades, she has helped build programs, develop partnerships, mentor professionals, and position SourcePoint to meet the evolving needs of a rapidly growing community. We are tremendously grateful for her leadership and equally grateful that her advance notice gives us the opportunity to plan thoughtfully for SourcePoint’s next chapter.”
Waugh’s tenure has encompassed significant growth and change for SourcePoint. The organization has expanded its services and community programs, navigated the COVID-19 pandemic without missing a day of service to its Meals on Wheels clients, undertaken strategic efforts to increase organizational efficiency and capacity, and strengthened its long-term sustainability.
SourcePoint continues to focus on long-term financial planning and sustainability while responding to increasing demand for services. In 2025, the organization purchased its facility at 800 Cheshire Road, an investment intended to strengthen organizational stability and support continued service to the community well into the future.
“SourcePoint has been such an important part of my life, and it has been a privilege to work alongside so many talented staff members, volunteers, board members, partners, and community leaders,” Waugh said. “I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together, but I am even more excited about what lies ahead. SourcePoint is a strong organization with an extraordinary team, a clear mission, and deep community support. I look forward to continuing that work over the coming months and helping make this transition a success.”
The SourcePoint board of directors will oversee a comprehensive search for the organization’s next chief executive officer. Additional information about the search process and leadership transition will be shared as it becomes available.

A search firm has not yet been named as the board is in the planning phase. Waugh will continue to serve as CEO until her successor is onboarded, which is anticipated to be in late spring 2027.
