Delaware County to Honor Veterans at 17th Annual Veterans Day Ceremony and Breakfast
DELAWARE COUNTY, OHIO—Delaware County veterans and their guests are invited to a special morning of remembrance, gratitude, and community recognition at the 17th Annual Veterans Day Ceremony and Breakfast on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 8:30 a.m. at the Delaware County Fairgrounds Agricultural Center, 236 Pennsylvania Ave., Delaware.
Presented by the Delaware County Veterans Association, the annual event brings the community together to honor the service, dedication, and sacrifices of the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
This year’s ceremony will feature a special presentation about the losses experienced by the U.S. Marine Corps’ Lima Company during Operation Iraqi Freedom. The program will provide an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made by these Marines and the lasting impact of their service.
The ceremony will also include the presentation of two special recognitions: Veteran of the Year and Friend of the Veteran of the Year, honoring individuals who have demonstrated exceptional service and support for Delaware County’s veteran community.
A complimentary breakfast will be provided for veterans and one guest. Reservations are required by Saturday, Oct. 31. Veterans and their guests may register online at MySourcePoint.org/event/veterans or call 740-363-6677.
Transportation assistance may be available for veterans who need a ride to and from the event. Veterans may contact Delaware County Veterans Services at 740-833-2010 to inquire about availability. Transportation requests should be made as early as possible, but no later than Nov. 1. Rides are subject to Delaware County Transit capacity.
